The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah proudly sponsors active Key Clubs at Issaquah High School, Liberty High School, and Skyline High School in the Issaquah School District. Key Clubs are one of the oldest and largest service leadership programs in the world for high school students. Through involvement in Key Club, students learn how to be effective leaders while serving their communities.
Key Clubs are part of the Kiwanis international family. Today, over 5,000 Key Clubs are active on high school campuses in the United States, Canada, Central and South America, several Caribbean nations, and Australia. Key Club members can engage with Key Club International at the regional, state, national and international levels, with opportunities to meet other teens from many different backgrounds and lived experiences.
Every year, Key Club members and Kiwanis Club of Issaquah members work side-by-side on projects such as Salmon Days, Concerts on the Green, Pumpkin Patch at Fletcher Farms, environmental restoration projects, and Spring Clean. For more information, contact Ruben Nieto, Issaquah High School Key Club Liaison, [email protected], Connie Fletcher, Liberty High School Key Club Liaison, [email protected], or Vishal Machewad, Skyline High School Key Club
Aktion Club
Kiwanis Club of Issaquah is pleased to partner with AtWork!, a regional organization providing jobs and training for adults with disabilities, on the sponsorship of Aktion Club. The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah was instrumental in founding the forerunner of AtWork!, previously known as Community Enterprises of Issaquah. We are grateful for our long partnership with this organization. For more information, contact Chris Brandt, [email protected] or Jeri Tolstedt, [email protected]
Other Kiwanis International Family Clubs
In addition to the service leadership clubs listed above, Kiwanis International encourages local clubs to sponsor Builders Clubs, serving middle school students, and Circle K Clubs, serving college students. Although Kiwanis Club of Issaquah has sponsored Builders Clubs in the past, we currently have no active Builders Clubs. If you are interested in starting a Builders Club or a Circle K Club, contact [email protected] for more information. We welcome your inquiries.
