Grants/Community Services Committee

This committee 1) reviews grant requests that come to the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah from the greater Issaquah community and makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors whether or not to fund each request; 2) annually reviews the Club’s sponsored organizations and activities; 3) sponsors or pilots short-term or one-time community service projects suggested by Club members or members of the Issaquah community (for example, the winter sock and handwarmer drive for people experiencing homelessness); and 4) solicits nominations for Community Volunteer of the Year Award and the Spiritual Aims Award presented at the annual Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Lunch (or Banquet) held in the spring.
